Instead, try racing past it, or using Mindjack to briefly shut it down while you either move aside the debris into the Med Bay under the stairs, or sprint up the stairs into the small Recycler Room and kill the phantom of Regina Sellers. It's also extremely tough and fast, and fighting at this point is ill-advised. It towers over you and will try stomping on you when it gets close - or launching multiple Kinetic Blasts at you, or causing you to gain fear and loose partial control.
